Isn’t it funny how some people just seem to make time for things. They mysteriously have more time in their day than everyone else.
It is not a magic trick! It is a deliberate effort to own your schedule. It means putting things that are important first.
It’s making time to take care of yourself. It could be taking a work call at your daughter’s swim practice. Or maybe it’s doing nothing, just sitting there, watching the sunset with your 8-year-old son or 88-year-old dad. Yes, sometimes choices on how we spend time means wearing dirty socks! Or, no socks at all.
Making deliberate choices about spending time reaffirms our internal message to ourselves about how we are living life. It also sends a message to others about what is important to us.
You’ll never have time if you don’t make time.
